Hey Backers!!!!

How are you all doing? We do hope you're all fine and super excited!

What is Happening Now?

As you all know, we've sent out the survey and have locked your orders... now... we are locking your addresses. At this stage, our team will start going through all your pledges and start the preparation for fulfilling your pledges!

We have completed the production and it is all packed and ready to go!!!

Due to the COVID situation in China, we faced some last-minute challenges with just collecting the goods from the factory, as many areas in China are in lockdown (the couriers can't access the factory)... but we are very happy to share that we were able to eventually (and creatively)  overcome that as well. 

It added a couple of weeks' delay to the shipping planning, but things are on their way now! 

Here it is leaving our factory and on its way to our fulfillment center!!!

 Well if the idea of the GoDice making its way to you is not exciting enough... maybe one of our influencers can help with that.

 As we mentioned before, we've sent samples of GoDice to influencers and some members of the press to warm up the market just in time for the launch.

Hi backers... how are you all guys doing? I hope everything is well.

Clock is Ticking...

As you all know, we've sent out the survey and you can, at last, finalize your pledges, make sure your shipping details are correct and most importantly, check our amazing add-ons. 

So far almost 60% of you guys have finalized their orders... so the remaining 40%, what are you waiting for?

If by chance you can't find your link, just reach out to our support team and they will be more than happy to give it to you.

Remember, we are locking your orders on the 29th. This means that we will not be able to make changes to your pledges. We will have it shipped as-is, just a reminder, you need to check ;

Switching Gamer Kit to DnD Kit, and vice-versa... 

As we said in our second update... ”if you ordered the original “Gamer kit” (for $99), and would like to switch to the new “D&D kit” (runs for $99 as well), that’s obviously fine.”, we are more than happy to accommodate this request. unfortunately, this cannot be done through the survey but you can let us know about your intentions by filling in this form.

Hi Backers!!!

We hope you all are well! 

We know that you are all anxious to hear what’s up with GoDice, and we are here again with some exciting updates!

Mass production… here we come!!!

We are so happy to share with you that the last batch of samples successfully passed all the tests, the factory got back from the long CNY,  completed the pre-production phase, and just started the mass production. The production can last between four to six weeks, after which we'll start the shipping of these beauties to their new owners :).

It has been a very challenging process but as promised, we are seeing this through. And we even started sending out samples to influencers and media outlets in preparation for the GoDice market :).

 You asked… so here they are!!! New GoDice accessories 

During the last year, we received many requests and ideas regarding cool accessories that will upgrade your playing experience.  We listened carefully, picked the most appealing ones, and we are happy to share with you the outcome. These will be available for you in the survey, which will be sent as well to you very soon.

GoDice  USB Charger - 

A customized USB Charger Cable (and dock) for GoDice Smart Connected Dice. Small-sized and can be used with any USB outlet/adaptor, power bank, and/or smart device.

GoDice Stand -

A customized and unique design, small and compact to hold your tablet (or phone) while playing.

It is part of the original accessories we proposed in the project, but will also be available as stand-alone.

 GoDice Cup -  

The perfect cup for playing with GoDice, especially for those games which include multiple (5,6) dice.

A unique design, made of premium quality and fine material! It is also part of the original accessories we proposed in the project, and will also be available as stand-alone.

GoDice Pouch - 

GoDice is a great (GREAT) product for travels, and the velvet carry bag pouch is perfect to hold and protect your GoDice while on the go.  Your GoDice set, the stand, shells, USB charger, and even the dice tray, all fit in nicely and securely.

GoDice  DND Pouch - 

The DnD pouch is a premium drawstring (synthetic) leather pouch, with a beautiful design and the finest materials. You will get it (a free upgrade we did) with the DnD shells, but you can also get it as an add-on!

GoDice dice tray – 

You asked for it, and we did it :)

It is quite frustrating to chase rolling dice on the floor (and behind the couch). The GoDice tray is a premium tray, that can be folded (rolled) to a compact size and doubles as a case protector. A premium product with, a beautiful design (that fits the GoDice look and feel), made of the finest (synthetic) leather material!

Surveys are Coming!

In the next couple of weeks, you will all be receiving the surveys.

As mentioned in our last update, with the Survey, you will be able to update your shipping information and other important order details. On top of that, you can check out all the accessories above that we’ve added, they will for sure heighten your GoDice experience!

We are almost there, and we cannot do it without your never-ending support and understanding!

In the next few days, you’ll receive an email from us with a link to your survey from BackerKit (for the new backers this is a pledge management service). 

It’s important to respond to your survey as quickly as you can since we need this information to fulfill your rewards. Please answer the questions about your pledge choices, provide shipping information, and take a look at our awesome, new add-ons. 

Double-check your shipping address and make sure that all is correct. We will lock all orders on the 29th of March, after which, you will not be able to make changes to your order and shipping information.  Don't worry, we will send you a reminder before the date so you can do the necessary changes if there are any.

THE CHIPS FINALLY ARRIVED!

Hi Backers, how are you all doing? 

We do hope that you are all doing great and healthy!

We held back this update for a few days, as we waited for the final confirmation…. 

And we are so happy to share with you the latest and greatest news: The Chips have arrived!!!  (It took almost a year longer than expected, but hey – It’s Here!)

Moving to Mass Production!
So now, that we finally have the materials available, we can move from the engineering floor (small scale samples) to the mass production floor!

You can imagine, that making 50,000 products (smart dice) is quite different from making 50 samples and thus, the very first step of the factory is “Pre-Production”, in which they will make 200 samples (1,200 smart dice!). This step allows the factory to learn and optimize the assembly line and detect potential production issues that only pop up in a scaled operation. The idea is to detect and fix any such risks as early as possible before we get to mass numbers. We are starting to work closely with the mass production team on these next immediate steps and will obviously share with you more details on our next update!

So, the big question… When?
We wish we could already have a firm date, but we will have a better idea regarding actual timelines once the pre-production phase is completed. If all goes well, and (crossing fingers) there will be no surprises, the pre-production should take about 4 weeks (by mid of Dec.), and the mass production will start soon after that. So again, if all goes well, we’ll start shipping GoDice to you on Jan 22 !!!

API:
Now, for the technology and software engineer backers among us, that asked about the API… we are happy to share great progress on that as well. Our team is working on gathering, documenting, and exporting the API package and example codes. We plan to release it by the end of Nov, and we just can’t wait to see your new ideas, cool games, new use cases and applications that you guys can come up with!

Hey backers! First, we would like to thank you for the extreme support you all have been extending to us!

    These are crazy times indeed, with the new Delta variation that raised its head all over the world, the crisis of chips which is here to stay, and the global logistic issues which further complicates things.

    Despite all, we are making great progress and keep doing our very best to complete the project the soonest possible and your support means the world to us!

So, September update - Here we go…

Chips… are we there yet?

     As you know, the global chip shortage is the biggest blocker that the project is currently facing. Small businesses and projects such as ours, unfortunately, are getting most of the burnt!

Currently, the situation with our supplier hasn’t changed much and we are still waiting for them to deliver.  We hope to get some good news in the coming month!

    In parallel, we are continuously searching other routes that will allow us to get some of these chips from the open market, unfortunately usually at a much (MUCH) higher price. Just to give you an idea of the numbers – a simple sensor which usually costs $0.2 is sold in the open market today at a minimum of $2 (x10 higher!!!). And the same goes for many other components.
    Fortunately, we did manage to get some that allowed us to produce enough samples for QA and beta testing and we expect to get the first production samples in the next few weeks! Which is SUPER exciting.

Where are we at with the rest of the project?
     A picture speaks a thousand words… well in this case… let’s let these fun gifs do the talking. we really wanted to keep some of it as fun surprises for you, when you'll get it - so in the meantime here are just some sneak peeks of the package and a taste of the app/games as teasers ?

You probably notice the dice became colorful :), this is a great upgrade we did to the product! - Beyond the playful and fresh look, it opens up many new games and possibilities (for games that require different dice colors), and significantly eases the playing experience and user interaction of the physical dice with the app.

Are you familiar with the popular "Shut The Box"? so here's the original board and our fun digital version of that game :)

Well, we'll keep some surprises for the unboxing, but you get the idea :), While we are waiting for the Chips and production, we simply make the product much better! and made A HUGE upgrade for the app's graphics, UI & UX.

  With all the challenges we are facing, we will diligently push until we finish this run and we are almost there!
